Why is Ivanti changing their licensing program now?
To continue our on-going strategy to help our customers make the transition to cloud or SaaS solutions.
Will partners be able to sell “New” perpetual licenses until March 1, 2023?
Yes, Ivanti will honor all outstanding approved quotes for New Perpetual on-premises sales through February 28, 2023.
If we have a non-governmental customer that requires a perpetual deal, who will need to approve?
Please work with your Ivanti Partner Manager who will guide you through the details.
What will I need to do to quote SaaS solutions moving forward?
Please continue to work with your Ivanti Partner Manager and Ivanti Sales representative as always, regardless of whether or not this is a registered deal.
How will I determine if a customer is “New”?
New customers are defined as:
- Existing Ivanti customers that license a net new product, e.g., a current customer for Ivanti Endpoint Manager that decides to license Ivanti Neurons for ITSM.
- Net new customers to Ivanti.
As always, check with your Ivanti Partner Manager if you need any further validation.
What is the expectation to move existing customers to SaaS or subscription options?
In all areas where a SaaS equivalent is available, Sellers and Partners are to assess current New Perpetual on-premises license opportunities through February 28, 2023 and beyond, to determine alternative positioning or pull forward close options.
As a partner, can I still create a new perpetual opportunity?
Yes, please continue to follow the deal registration process. Please note that if a deal registration for a new perpetual opportunity is created, it must close by February 28, 2023. Starting March 1, 2023 the quote will need to be updated to follow SaaS and Subscription ROE.
My organization has never sold Ivanti cloud solutions. Are there any terms, permissions, stipulations, that prevents a partner from selling Ivanti cloud solutions?
There are no permissions or stipulations that prevent our partners from selling Ivanti cloud solutions. You’re encouraged to use the many resources available within Advantage Learning to support your cloud selling efforts.
What are the differences between Ivanti Cloud vs Ivanti SaaS?
SaaS is the licensing model for the solution, the cloud is how we deploy the solution.
Will on-prem, perpetual renewals still be allowed post notification period?
Existing customers with perpetual licensing will continue to be able to renew their products for 1- year renewals. No multi-year renewals for perpetual licensing will be allowed, with the exception of EPG products where multi-year renewals will still be allowed.
Can I cross-sell to an existing on-prem, perpetual licensed customer additional on-prem products. i.e. Customer owns EPM can I sell them Patch?
Yes, provided the cross-sold product is quoted and sold as a subscription license.
What are the premise products that are affected by the change?
As of Dec. 5, 2022, the products included are:
- Ivanti Neurons for ITSM on-premises to Ivanti Neurons for ITSM cloud (including Enterprise with HR, Facilities, & PPM)
- Ivanti Neurons for ITAM on-premises to Ivanti Neurons for ITAM cloud
- Ivanti Neurons for GRC on premises to Ivanti Neurons for GRC cloud
- Ivanti Endpoint Management – Mobile to Ivanti Neurons for MDM or Ivanti Neurons for UEM
